Well, it failed. Google didn’t care for all the work done on the blog. The pages barely appear in search results. I did this for fun, but it’s a lot of work. I’ll be slowing down my activity here drastically. You may have noticed that Cinematic Panic, my movie review blog, is also on hiatus for two months already. I’ve been dealing with some health issues, the almost uninterrupted string of heat waves, and I’m just tired. I’m still watching a lot of movies, some TV Shows, but I’m not writing about it, and it feels strangely freeing. I was doing this for the pleasure of sharing my passion, but the joy went away at some point.
The same goes for Cinematic Freeze. It’s a lot of work with no reward, and people can’t even find my stuff! I’m more or less on vacation, but I’ll soon go back to work. I’d like to develop new projects, so hobbies like this one aren’t a priority, and they may not be for a long time. I’m still taking screenshots, and I’ll probably publish new galleries here and there. However, I won’t return to posting daily.

I’ve seen someone saying that asking Gemini to help makes the required changes to “help” Google find the content appealing again, so I did that. I redid the design of the blog and started writing texts to go with the gallery and the technical info I was already providing. It was a very time-consuming effort. I hope for some result soon.
As for the text: Sadly, they are not high-quality analyses. I’ve realized that I’m not the right person for the job. To be honest, I’m working on the screencaps. The text is just an attempt to please our Google overlord. I’m quite pleased with some of them, others were done without too much care.
I’m resuming my almost daily publication schedule, for now.

While traffic to the blog was growing steadily, without any explanation, Google decided to stop showing Cinematic Freeze in the search results. Pages are still indexed and there is no apparent problem. I published everything I had in the draft folder, but I lost a lot of motivation to continue.
June 2025
I launched Cinematic Freeze with the idea of publishing at least one gallery of movie stills a day. I’ve a lot of them ready to get published.
